While it’s freezing, snowing, icing, all things crazy weather in Texas outside right now. I’m trying a new spray tan to fake summer.
I was really impressed with this product. I usually feel streaky, orange, and stinky. This can is great because you can hold it upside down (like to get the backs of your legs) and it still sprays continuously. I feel like this is perfect right now if you are pasty white from winter, since the color isn’t sooo dramatic. But I only did 2 coats. I bet you can do more to get a darker tan. And my husband never told me I was stinky so I guess it wasn’t that bad haha! I just made sure to really exfoliate with a sugar scrub like this or thiscompletely dried myself, and then sprayed. I also let the tan completely dry before putting on my loose pajamas.
Let me know if you have tried anything and absolutely loved it! I’m always looking for a good sunless tan!
Stay warm and thanks for reading!

Drip Dry

Drip Dry

So I love for my nails to be painted but lets be real, I hate waiting for them to dry. Well… I don’t wait for them to dry. I’m always painting them and then trying to do things around the house right after and always, ALWAYS mess them up. There’s nothing worse than spending 30+ minutes working on your cuticles, filing, then even longer trying to polish them and then bam! messing them up.
If I don’t paint them I usually do gels or the “dipped powder” but they do both tend to tear my nails up. I’m also a hair stylist so with my hands in the water and using them all day to braid color hair my nails are always chipping. So that’s kind of a waste of money for me to get them done and then right after they chip.
So when I was in Sally’s last week and found this beauty O.P.I. drip dry . I was really impressed! You just paint your nails like normal and let that polish dry for 1 minute. Then you put two drops of drip dry on each nail, wait 5 minutes and wah-la! They are dry! Just make sure the drops cover your whole nail. I will be using this every time I do my own nails now.
Excuse our boy bedspread in these pictures. All of our wedding stuff is in storage for our new house and I can’t wait to reopen all of it!
Thanks for reading!

Olive and Stripes

Olive and Stripes

Good morning! I hope all of you had a safe weekend, especially if you ventured out into the weather in Texas. I am soooo over this ice storm we’ve been having. It’s March for crying out loud… but I guess that’s Texas and you’d think I would be used to it. Enough about the weather I’m sure that’s all you have been hearing about.
This striped sweater above is a perfect piece to transition into spring. I wore this on our honeymoon to St. Lucia with some shorts. It’s great since it is light and “holey”. In these pictures I had a long sleeve dark blue shirt layering under to keep me warm. I couldn’t find the exact link for you but I have picked a similar piece from H&M. I absolutely love, love, love olive pants. I think I’m a little obsessed, even my husband says so. Every time I walk into a store I go straight for the olive pants. They are so easy to pair with though! In the spring this color looks great with neon pink and neon is in this spring.
Don’t mind the puppy love. Tripp (our white lab) wanted to follow me into my picture. Some of these pictures are blurry, let me explain! My photographer, my husband, was busy at work and didn’t get to take a lunch to shoot me so I found my Dad’s old tripod and shot myself! (hands over eyes emoji) haha!
Some personal updates: We are waiting on our floor plan to be appraised then we begin building our new home!!! I am sooooo excited. If you have any tips/suggestions on what we NEED or do not NEED please comment and let me know.
Thanks for reading!

Britany
