Pregnancy Update 3/30/16

How far along: 29 Weeks, and don’t forget the 1 day!
Gender: Baby girl!
Total weight gain: 17 pounds! I’m using Bio Oil to prevent stretch marks. I don’t have any yet. I do have varicose veins still down my right leg so I am wearing Jobst compression hose when I work long days on my feet.
Maternity Clothes:  I have a handful of maternity shirts, a dress, and two pairs of jeans that are maternity. I just ordered some dresses that I will show when they come in. When I’m not at work I wear a lot of sweat pants, under armor tights, or under armor shorts. I love work out clothes!  Recently my under armor tights have gotten a bit tight.. oops. So, I just wear the extra stretchy ones.

Sleep: Our baby boy lab, Tripp, got fixed on Friday 🙁 so we haven’t had the best sleep lately. We are just preparing for Aniston I guess… and my belly is getting big so it’s harder to get comfy.

Miss Anything: I miss working out to get skinny. Now I just work out to…. well it does make me feel better when I exercise and I’ve heard it helps during labor. So I will continue because yes I will take all the help I can get!

Cravings: Cookie ice cream sandwiches. The ones in the yellow packages.

Symptoms: So… before I was pregnant I took medicine for Hyperhidrosis, which is excessive sweating, :/ mainly feet and hands. Well.. I can’t take this medicine being pregnant and it really hadn’t been too bad up until the past couple of weeks. Now it’s awful… I am also still having heartburn and indigestion. I am still just taking Tums for that. Tiredness is slowly kicking in again. I laugh a lot with my last client of the day because we never know what is going to come out of my mouth haha.
But, other than that I still love being pregnant.
Belly Button in or out: In, but almost flat.

Mood: anxious and to be honest a little overwhelmed!

Best Moment this week: When my cold went away!

Looking forward to:  Still the same… Finishing up her nursery! I feel like there is still so much to do and the weeks are just flying by ahhhh!
Exercise: I’m still making it to the gym at least every other week 2-4 times a week. I am walking if I don’t make it to the gym. It’s hard to enjoy a work out because before I liked intense workouts. Now I feel like I need to be careful. If I run I get round ligament pain (the stench in my lower stomach because my belly is stretching).
On My Mind: New baby, still scared for delivery, wondering how nursing will go, absorbing as much info from all my mommy clients and friends. Wondering how Mom’s clean, work, cook, wife, work out, and be a mom all at the same time.

I hope you all have a great day and thanks for reading!

Pink Blush

Happy Easter!
We decided on a name for our baby girl.
We’ve had it picked out for awhile, just wanted to make sure we didn’t hear anything else that we fell in love with more. Every name I would bring to Jake, he would just be like “yeah… I don’t know, it’s alright.” Alright is not good enough :). So when my client told me about Aniston I fell in love and went home to tell Jake. He said “well… I love Jennifer so..” haha of course he would say that. I could probably name her Aniston Underwood and he would love it!
I have always thought Grace is such a pretty name so I knew from the beginning I wanted Grace. We did play with some J names. Aniston Jade, Aniston June, and so on, but none of them I felt were as pretty as Aniston Grace. Aniston is kind of an original name (in my opinion) so I wanted a pretty simple middle name to go with it. Also we didn’t want a mouthful of a name.
It’s still weird for me to talk about her and call her “Aniston” instead of “the baby” but now it is getting easier and more natural. I think I’m getting more excited and anxious to meet her so I like saying her name more. Now that her nursery is coming together it’s becoming real.
This Wednesday I will be 29 weeks pregnant. 11 1/2 more weeks!
I got this dress from Pink Blush Maternity. It’s the mint green floral dress.
PInkBlush is having a site wide sale – 30% off – enter promo code CRAZYSAVINGS at check out!
They also have more than just maternity clothes. They have some pretty cute items for babies and my non pregnant followers as well. I already have my eye on my next purchase for them.
I hope everyone has a great Easter and thanks for reading!!

Funky Trunks Boutique

Photographer: Beatbox Portraits
We went to the cutest coffee shop last week, and when I say we I mean me and my favorite photographer Trish Dove from Beatbox Portraits . Trish is super bubbly and helps me step out of my comfort zone, I love her so much for that! She is so fun!

The coffee shop was on Magnolia in Fort Worth called Avoca Coffee Shop. The coworkers there were sooo nice and I got to try my very first “pretty” latte. Haha… if you know what I mean. So it was extra special.

I found this tie-dye dress at the cutest boutique called Funky Trunks Boutique. They have a small shop in my salon at Zeeba  and they also have a store front on bluebonnet circle in Fort Worth. They always have new stuff and everything is reasonably priced. That’s why I love it!

I love maxi dresses, pregnant or not. They are super comfy, you can dress them up or down, and if it is a little chilly just pair it with a cardigan like I did.

So if you do not have your Easter dress yet, head over to Funky Trunks today, I bet you find something! They also have cute little gifts.

What are everyone’s plans for Easter? We will be home… maybe coloring eggs 🙂 while Jake works.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great Saturday!

March Everyday Makeup Tutorial 2016

I have put together an everyday makeup look of mine. Step by step instructions are in this youtube video. This was a lot different than doing a hair tutorial, but it was really fun and I love trying new things. I’m getting better with the camera each time I do it and learning more and more on editing so bare with me. 🙂 It’s a learning process. If you like this video and would like more makeup tutorials please comment below and let me know! I would love any input.
I have also linked all the products I used at the bottom of this screen, so scroll on down if you’d like to just know what I used.

Preggo Leggings

Leggings: Here

Photography by: Beatbox Portraits
Today I am 27 weeks pregnant and it is definitely starting to show. A couple strangers have came up to me now and asked how far along I was. I am trying to dress so my belly shows more now since you can actually tell I am pregnant. I found this company called Preggo Leggings and I love love love how comfy and versatile their leggings can be. As you can see in one of the pictures I unbuttoned my shirt (hehe) so you could see they go up over your belly, which I love. It makes it feel like I am wearing some kind of pregnant spanx haha! Just a little more comforting then letting it all hang out. But these leggings are so soft and stretchy you would never feel constricted.
They come in all sorts of colors and this pair is only $35, not bad at all! I am wearing a small/medium in Oh Baby Blues. Preggo Leggings also has some cute maternity tops. I am sure I will be wearing these leggings even after I am pregnant. Maybe that’ll help my post baby belly that I am so terrified of!
I have put together some look alike items for this look down below. I put a variety of pricing but every item is something I would love to own, already own, and have personally picked out for you!
!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); = id; p = ‘//’; var cb = new Date().getTime(); p += ‘?cb=’ + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === ‘object’){ if(doc.readyState === ‘complete’){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, ‘script’, ‘shopsensewidget-script’);
