I went to the dr. this past Wednesday, I am now 100% effaced, dilated to a 2 1/2 cm, and her head is super super low. Woo Hoo! So, hopefully that means it’ll be a super fast delivery. It’s so crazy waiting for her to come. There’s nothing you can do to control it or predict it and everything I google says 100,000 different things. Everyone’s pregnancies are so different you have no idea what to compare yours to.
Wednesday night I thought I was going into labor haha. I got checked that day, which could’ve caused some cramping. But, this was more than cramping… so I thought. It was one big cramp, …well medium cramp, at a time. Then, my belly would get really hard. I guess that’s just more braxton hicks because nothing was consistent about them at all. These lasted from about 7pm – 10pm and then by that point I said ‘I’m going to go to bed and if these wake me up then we will know it’s time’. Well, it wasn’t. I continued the same campiness all day yesterday as well so who knows when she’s coming. Probably past her due date since we’ve been scared she was going to come too early.
I feel like I’m on pins and needles constantly. What if my water breaks at work? What if my water breaks in bed? How messy is that going to be to clean up? Will my sister clean it up while I rush to the hospital? HAHA Or will my water even break before then? So many things to wonder. Also, everyone has so many opinions and I’ve never heard so many peoples birth stories in my life. But I love it all.
How far along: 37 Weeks 2 days
Gender: Baby Girl
Total weight gain: 31 pounds! I’m using Bio Oil to prevent stretch marks. I don’t have any yet. I do have varicose veins still down my right leg and a couple on my right. My feet and ankles are swelling now, along with my hands and face. I can’t wear my wedding rings anymore so I wear this ring. It is super comfortable and if it gets stuck we can just cut it off. I wear the pink one to represent baby girl Aniston.
Maternity Clothes: I have a handful of shirts that are maternity and two pairs of jeans that are maternity. When I’m not at work I wear tanks, under armor shorts, Jake’s T-shirts, and flip flops (because I can’t fit into close toed shoes anymore. I also cannot fit into my gym shorts other than the Under Armor ones. The others go half way up my thighs. HA! My belly pokes out of most things so I have to be careful and wear a LONG shirt.
Sleep: I’ve gotten lots of sleep this week. I still wake up to pee, but other than that I am in bed by 9:30 asleep by close to 10 and wake up around 6/6:30 when the dogs wake up.
Miss anything: I miss my regular skinny girl clothes haha. Thank goodness for dresses! I also miss not sweating so much, I have never taken so many showers.
Symptoms: Swelling, tired, heartburn, a little pelvic pain, crampy, braxton hicks, and a couple back aches.
Belly Button in or out: Still in and every now and then it will become flush or the very top will stick out.
Mood: Very anxious.
Best Moment this week: When Jake told me he was ready for her to come out so he could meet her. 🙂 Melts my heart and makes me so happy to have such a loving husband and soon to be father to our child. I am so thankful for him.
Looking forward to: Seeing what and who she looks like. Will she be a mini me? Will she look like her Daddy? Or will she be her very own little person.
Exercise: So far I’ve walked this Tuesday (1 mile) and Wednesday (2 miles) with the dogs. I feel like they know we are fragile right now because they did really really good, or it’s just really humid and hot so… lol.
On My Mind: Always wondering if today will be the day we meet her and always thinking I may be going into labor haha.
I hope everyone has a great weekend! Happy Friday!
