These are some more of our maternity shoot with Beatbox Portraits. I can’t even handle how cute Tripp is looking at Aniston, or waiting for treats whichever, ha!
We went to the doctor last Wednesday and got another sonogram. Aniston was measuring at 5 lbs 5 oz, they think since her head was so low that she will be bigger because their guesses are a little off. The doctor checked me and I am dilated to a 2 now, 90% effaced ( you go to 100%, so mine’s just really thin which could cause me to dilate faster and hopefully have a faster and safe delivery ) , and her head is -1 to 0 station ( which means she’s ready whenever 😉 ). We made it to 36 weeks which was the big number they wanted us to make it to, YAY. We are ready for her to be here but also want to make sure she grows as much as she needs before her big debut also, so we have a lot of mixed feelings. Jake is super excited and I am super nervous, anxious, and excited!
I have a week and a day and a half of work left! Which is insane, I hardly ever take off work so this will be good. I’ve already kind of been a freak about my clients and not being able to do their hair, but I will be back and everyone will be fine :). I will still be blogging while I’m on maternity leave. I will keep you posted on how everyone is doing and how we are handling all the new changes. Along with her nursery, I will post everything about that too. My last day of work is June 2nd ( unless she comes early ) and I go back mid August. Jake is also taking off with me for two weeks when she gets here. I’m so thrilled his job allows this. I can’t wait for our little family.
How far along: 36 Weeks 4 days
Gender: Baby Girl
Total weight gain: 27 pounds! I’m using Bio Oil to prevent stretch marks. I don’t have any yet. I do have varicose veins still down my right leg and a couple on my right. My feet and ankles are swelling now, along with my hands and face. I can’t wear my wedding rings anymore so I wear this ring. It is super comfortable and if it gets stuck we can just cut it off. I wear the pink one to represent baby Aniston. These pictures were taken at 33 weeks, so yes, I can still wear my ring here. 🙂
Maternity Clothes: I have a handful of shirts that are maternity and two pairs of jeans that are maternity. When I’m not at work I wear tanks, under armor shorts, Jake’s T-shirts, and flip flops (because I can’t fit into close toed shoes anymore. I also cannot fit into my gym shorts other than the Under Armor ones. The others go half way up my thighs. HA! My belly pokes out of most things so I have to be careful and wear a LONG shirt.
Sleep: I’ve been waking up every morning this past week at 3:30 or 4 and not going back to sleep :(. I wake up to use the restroom and then I go back to sleep. I w
Miss anything: I will have to admit, the nice weather, even the rain, has made me miss having an adult beverage on a patio or on our back porch with Jake. I also miss working out. At 32 weeks I had to stop since I was already effaced 80% and dilated to a 1 because the Dr. or we do not want her to come early. Everyone is getting in shape for summer and I’m over here swelling up while I grow our baby haha.
Symptoms: Swelling, tired, heartburn, a little pelvic pain, crampy, braxton hicks, and a couple back aches.
Belly Button in or out: Still in and every now and then it will become flush or the very top will stick out.
Mood: Very anxious, scared, excited, and happy.
Best Moment this week: When I got her back, our bag, her room, and all the small things ready for her to be here. Especially Wednesday when our Dr. told us she could come any day now and be perfect. Ah! We are so excited!
Looking forward to: Seeing Jake with her, it’s going to be sooo sweet. I know he will be a great Daddy, he already is.
Exercise: I can walk now, but it has been rainy and I’ve been busy working so I haven’t gone for a walk yet. My feet and ankles swell pretty quick so…Unless I am not exhausted and it’s a really pretty day, I don’t know, we will see. June 2nd is my last day of work so I’m going to take it easy until then, and I want her to stay in as long as she needs to.
On My Mind: Always wondering if today will be the day we meet her and always thinking I may be going into labor haha.
I hope everyone had a great weekend! Thank you for reading.
