Makeup products are one of my favorite things to splurge on. I love to play in makeup while getting ready even if my babies are playing in it with me. I have old pallets, brushes, or their own lipgloss I let them play with if they need a distraction.
I have a few staples that I love, and surprise they are more than just lipgloss and mascara. These are products you want to use to enhance your makeup game.
Lip Liner – I have pretty small lips and not only that I have noticed if I don’t take the time to line my lips my lipstick looks super wonky and almost smeared on. So I take the time to use this Lip Liner in shade plum if I am wearing a nuetral, pink, or plum colored lips. You can also overdraw and enhance your lips if you are into that.
Stila Liquid Lipstick – If you don’t want to be re-applying lipstick all day this is your jam. I have tried some of the stains out there on the market but they tend to really dry my lips out. I use this liquid lipstick 4 out of 7 days of the week and I’m good. I sometimes top if with gloss since it is a matte finish. Perla and Baci are my two favorite shades.
Mac Fix + – To ensure all that hard work you just did on your face stays all day I highly recommend this setting spray! You can spray after each product or just at the end. It depends on what I am doing. If I have an event I will spray after each product but just for my daily I use at the end. If you want your shimmery or sparkly eyeshadow to pop spray this on your brush after you have gotten the product on the brush, then apply. It’s magical!
Charlotte Tilbury Color Chameleon Eyeshadow Pencil – This is my fav!!! You can use this eyeshadow pencil alone or on top of other eyeshadow. I don’t really use an eyeliner often at all. Maybe if I wanted a super dramatic look I would use it. This eyeshadow is in a fat pencil form. Goes on super smooth and you can definitely make it look like eyeliner. I on the other hand take an eyeliner brush or very small brush and smudge it up, so it’s not so perfect and more blended. There are tiny sparkles in this eyeshadow so it is very flattering.
Charlotte Tilbury White Eyeliner – I discovered White Eyeliner a few years ago. I have never worn black eyeliner on the bottom of my eye. I just feel like it draws (bad) attention and makes my eyes look smaller. I want to look alive and well! So I use this White Eyeliner on the bottom waterline to make my eyes look bright and awake. It stays on all day!
Tula Face Cleanser – I don’t use makeup wipes or makeup remover, those products just make my face feel sticky and can be so harsh. Just imagine pulling on your face with a wipe every day… it can’t be good for it!! Tula Face Cleanser removes all of my makeup with one wash, even my mascara, and if you’ve been around you know I pile on the mascara. I do not have a code, but my friend Katey Hellman does.. use code “KATEY” for 15% off.
