How To Package press on nails at home
When it comes to pressing on nails, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. For starters, always make sure your nails are clean and dry before application. The adhesive on the press-on nails will not stick to any oils or residue on your nails. If you’re applying them at home, ensure you have all the supplies you need close by. This includes the press-on nails, adhesive, a nail file, and cuticle clippers (if needed).
If they do start to come loose, use a nail file to file down the top of the nail until it’s smooth. If they start coming off at the sides, use cuticle clippers to clip away any excess material until they fit snugly against your nail bed again.
When it comes to packaging, press on nails and always ensure they’re stored in a cool, dry place. If possible, keep them in their original packaging to prevent them from becoming damaged. If you need to transport them, use a padded envelope or box to avoid any breakage.
With these tips in mind, you can easily package press-on nails at home without any problems. Just make sure you have all of the supplies you need and take your time to apply them correctly. With a bit of practice, you’ll be able to use them like a pro!
Four rules of packaging your press-on nails
1. Displaying your nails
If you’re looking for a way to display your press on nails, consider using a jewelry box. Available in three sizes, these boxes make it easy to keep your nails organized and easy to access. The long rectangular bracelet box is sized 8 1/16″ x 2 1/4″ x 1 3/8″, the square necklace box is sized about 5 1/4 x 3.5, and the small square earrings box is sized about 3.5 x 2 1/4.
For medium to long nails, the long rectangle bracelet box is perfect. For multiple sets of nails, use the square necklace box. And when you have an order of short nails, the small square earrings box comes in really handy. Each of these boxes is available for just $1.
Simply cut a 5-inch piece of mounting tape and place it in the box. Remove the red strip and stick the nails on top, from thumb to pinky. This will keep them in place until the customer is ready to remove them.
With this easy and affordable solution, you can have your press-on nails displayed in no time!
2. Prep kit
The prep kit is a great way to help your customers start applying your press on nails. It includes some essential items, like a mini file, a cuticle pusher, and mini glue. I also have our business card, which can help me find more product information. Depending on your budget, you could also try to include sticky nail tabs and a mini buffer. Your customers will appreciate any help you can provide them in successfully using your nails.
3. Add a free gift
We offer press-on nails that are beautiful and affordable. A free gift is an excellent way to say thank you for choosing us. We package our free gifts in Zipper Seal Bags. This transparent 3.8 in. by 5.75 in. bags are a perfect size for the freebies we include. Each package consists of 40 bags for only $1! In the beginning, I wasn’t able to do this quite yet, but soon after, I was able to start including free gifts with purchases. I always include a removable sticker, lashes, and/or candy. It just depends on what I can get my hands on that works with the budget. Other free items you could include are rings, scrunchies, pins, etc. You can get creative here, using your budget and things you think your customers would like. Just keep the shipping weight in mind as you consider different ideas. If you can get little, thank you stickers on the bags, that would be even better!
4. Always use bubble mailers
The bubble mailers are the perfect way to keep your nails safe during shipping. They come with bubble wrap to keep them from being damaged during delivery. Include your instructions, sizing chart, and customer receipt, and place your shipping label on the package. It’s ready to go out for delivery!
